Super Symmetry

Learning Goals: Math, Geometry, Spatial Sense, Working Memory, Visual Art

    • Place a long piece of tape across the carpet, splitting it into two halves.
    • In partners, students can take turns placing shapes on both sides of the carpet to create a symmetrical image.
      • Students should match what their partner placed on the other side of the tape and then place their own shape down.
    • Optional: Can be done independently, as a small group, or whole group activity as well.
