Provide bin of sorting materials out and encourage students to use them freely.

Small plastic materials of varying sizes/ colours/ shapes
This activity encourages students to find varying sorting strategies to organize each type of bead. Students can work independently or with their peers, and either sort or direct their play with the materials freely, by creating structures or shapes with them on the carpet.
