River Storytelling

River Storytelling

Learning Goals: Oral Communication , Self-Expression, Creativity, Writing, Story Elements

    • Place a long piece of blue fabric on the floor to resemble a winding river.
    • Have students sit on either side of the river holding a fish cut-out.
    • Throw a pebble into the river and where the pebble lands indicates which student will share a story (or fact) about their fish.

We are the Play Learning Lab, run by Dr. Angela Pyle at the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto.
