River Letter Hunt

River Letter Hunt

Learning Goals: Literacy Skills, Letter Identification, Phonological Awareness, Alphabetic Knowledge

    • Hide letters underneath the 'river' created by blue fabric on the floor.
    • Have students take turns finding letters in a small group. Students can catch letter fish using their hands, nets, play tweezers, or any other material!
    • Encourage students to name the letter and make its sound before matching the letter on a magnetic board/alphabet chart.
