Play with Train Tracks

Learning Goals: Spatial Sense, Creativity, Teacher-Supported, Child-Directed, Directional Language.

Provide a bin of wooden train tracks for students.

The educator may support set up and game play with the students.

The educator can explain how to build/ use the materials, and support/ extend student thinking with prompts.
Wooden train tracks, other train track type toy, supporting toys (e.g., trains, cars, figures).
This teacher-supported activity allows for students and educators to collaboratively explore building directional structures, which can support students’ spatial sense, creativity, and collaboration.
