Picture and Letter Match

Learning Goal: Phonetics, Letter Recognition, Teacher-Directed

    • Go through a series of photos of objects/ animals/ things that start with all of the letters of the alphabet.
    • Have students identify each photo first. Use a deck of cards that has a letter on it and show students the card.
    • Have them identify the photo associated with that letter (e.g., ‘Z card’ would match a photo of a zebra).
    • Students put their counter on the photo that matches the letter.
