Letter Cards on Table

Pick a Card

Learning Goals: Literacy, Alphabet, Phonological Awareness, Self-Regulation, Syllables

  • This is a fun waiting game to have handy when you need to wait for a couple extra minutes before a transition or when setting up another activity. This is also a quick and easy activity for morning circle, snack time, or end of day!

    • Have one student select a card from a pile and share a word that starts with that letter.
    • As a class, repeat the word and clap out the syllables.
    • Repeat with another student picking a new card.
