Parking Lot Letters
Learning Goals: Literacy, Letter Recognition, Alphabet, Sight Words, Phonics
- Provide students with paper that has a ‘parking lot’ on it (about 10 letters on each sheet).
- Each space should have a letter associated with it.
- Have a bin of cars with letters taped to them.
- Students should place the car with the matching letter to the parking lot.
- Educator can extend and prompt learning.
- Extension: Use the cars to spell out CVC words. Once students get comfortable with CVC words, encourage them to include some sight words as well.
