Mystery Letter
Learning Goals: Letter Knowledge, Letter Formation, Phonological Awareness
- Choose a "mystery letter" for the day.
- Create a morning message where the mystery letter is missing and leave a space with a line where the letter should be.
- As a class, figure out what letter is missing and have a student come and form the letter on the line.
- Lead the class in making the letter sound and model sounding out the word.
- Continue reading the rest of the morning message and filling in the mystery letter wherever it shows up.
