Missing Middle Sound
Learning Goals: Literacy, Letter Sounds, Phonics
- In small groups, have students choose from CVC picture cards and identify the image on the cards.
- Ask students to write out (or make using letter manipulatives) the beginning and ending sound of the word, leaving a space in between.
- Have students stretch out the word to find the missing middle sound.
- Challenge students to create a word list of all the complete CVC words they have sounded out!
