Light or Heavy?
Learning Goals: Math Skills, Measurement, Estimation, Properties
- Have students sit in a circle and pass around an object to determine whether each object is light or heavy.
- Encourage your students to compare different objects and explain their thinking.
- As an extension: Bring a scale and have students measure out the objects after everyone has had a turn to estimate.
- Feel free to implement this activity as a whole class or in small groups.
