Letter Picture Match

Learning Goals: Phonics, Letter Recognition

Provide students with puzzle cards, ask them to try and find the matching word for the picture on the puzzle.

Offer inital prompting by asking for other words that begin with each letter in order to extend learning.
Puzzle pieces (2 per letter; 1 is a photo of an object that starts with that letter, other is the word describing the picture – e.g., a Lollipop for the letter L)
The educator has provided this game with a clear learning goal; letter recognition.
