    • Allow students to work in small groups to deconstruct an old keyboard.
    • Encourage students to use the keys on the keyboard to identify letter names, letter sounds, build sight words, and build the alphabet.
    • Extension: support students in drawing and labelling a picture/diagram of the keyboard.

We are the Play Learning Lab, run by Dr. Angela Pyle at the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education/University of Toronto.
