Keyboard Exploration
Learning Goals: Literacy, Letter Identification, Letter Sounds, Building Words, Mutually-Directed Play.
- Under the guidance of the educator, the children can work in small groups to deconstruct an old keyboard.
- The students can use the keys on the keyboard to identify letter names, letter sounds, build sight words, and build the alphabet.
- To extend children’s learning, the educator can support children in drawing and labeling a diagram of the keyboard.
