
Classroom Igloo
Learning Goals: STEM, Cooperation, Mutually-Directed Play, Spatial Reasoning, Turn-Taking, Visual Arts
- During the winter months, work together to build an igloo in the classroom.
- Discuss what an igloo would look like and determine the materials that would be needed to create the igloo.
- Provide recycled cardboard and paint for students to create ice blocks.
- As an option: Post a large wall-length piece of paper behind the igloo for students to draw pictures of images they associated with cold weather and igloos.
