• Igloo

    Learning Goals: STEM, Cooperation, Mutually-Directed Play, Spatial Reasoning, Turn-Taking

      • During the winter months this class decided to build an igloo in the classroom.
      • The class discussed what an igloo would look like and determined the materials that would be needed to create the igloo.
      • The educator provided recycled cardboard and paint for students to create ice blocks. A large wall-length piece of paper was posted behind the igloo for students to draw pictures of images they associated with cold weather and igloos.
