How Many Structures Can You Build?

Learning Goals: Math Skills, Counting, Comparison, Patterning, Fine Motor Skills

Provide small groups of students with linking cubes.

Encourage the students to build as many unique structures as they can using only 5 linking cubes.

Students will set aside each structure on a paper plate to help demonstrate and document what they already built.

Encourage the students to count the number of cubes in their structures and to compare their structures.
Linking Unifix cubes

Area to display structures: paper plates, trays, chart paper, etc.
The educator has prepared the game and determined the rules.
