Grid Counters

Learning goals: Math, Number Sense, Counting, One-to-One Correspondence and Number Skills

    • Provide students with a large square grid.
    • Have students pull number cards that give them a number of counters to place (between 1-10 to start).
    • As an extension: have students write their created addition statement after picking two number cards and placing counters.
      • A further extension is to offer addition cards and have them model & solve the addition statement on the grid.
