Geoboard Free Play

Learning Goals: Math Skills, Geometry, Fine Motor Skills, and Spatial Sense

Provide students with geoboards and elastics during free play time.

Encourage students to create shapes and patterns on the geoboards.

As an extension, offer geoboard idea cards or manipulatives as inspiration on the table (eg. tangrams)

The play is initiated and directed by the students.

The materials are provided and set-up in such a way as to invite the students to explore the center.
