Fun with Magnetic Tiles

Learning Goals: Math Skills, Geometry, Spatial Skills, Observations

Set out a bin of magnetic tiles and demonstrate to students how they work.

Encourage students to create patterns and build structures with magnetic tiles.

Optional: have books on structures available for students to flip through.

Optional: books on structures, figurines and loose parts
The play is initiated and directed by the students.

The materials are provided and set-up in such a way as to invite the students to explore the center.
