Learning Goals: Literacy, Emergent Reading, Numeracy, Counting, Mutually-Directed Play

Prepare cue cards for the students with hints about the location of the missing items (ie. Dinosaurs).

Hide the items in these locations to set up the play.

Initiate the play by prompting students to read the cue cards, support their team work, and ask guiding questions to help them find the missing items.

The educator has prepared, set-up and initiated the play context. The educator helps facilitate and support the students in completing the activity.

The students have direction in the steps they take to solve the clues and how they work together to find the hidden items.
