Creating and Drawing Patterns

Provide students with buttons and small stones and encourage them to create patterns using the given materials.

The interest in drawing came from the children and their play. The educator used this concept to support an inquiry by providing different materials, introducing new concepts (pattern), and connecting the play to Math through drawing.
