Building With Magnetic Blocks

Learning Goals: Child-Directed Play, Cooperative Play, Fine-Motor Skills, Spatial Sense, Abstract Thinking. 

    • Provide a bin of connecting magnet blocks in an area with space to build. 
    • Inspire play by encouraging children to explore how the blocks connect to one another.
    • Students can work independently or collaboratively to build objects/ structures. 
    • Play can be extended into inquiry through the exploration of magnets.
