Balloon Car

Balloon Car

Learning Goals: Measurement, Forces, Properties, Making Predictions, Comparison, Math Language

  • This idea came from home learning, however it is engaging and adaptable for home or for the classroom.

    • Work together to build balloon powered cars!
    • This car in the picture was made out of LEGO. The student made a hole in the back, & let the open side of the balloon hang out the back.
    • Once your cars are made, take turns blowing up the balloon and letting them go!
    • Measure how far each car went.
    • Compare how far different cars go.
    • There are so many possibilities for you to extend or adapt this activity to meet the needs of your students!
