2D Shape Hunt Writing

Learning Goals: Writing, Communication, Expression, Math Skills, Concepts of Print

In the pre-lesson: Have students go on a 2D Shape Hunt and take pictures (or draw) where they find 2D shapes in the classroom.

For this lesson: Print out the photos on sheets for students to write or have students glue them on to their writing sheets.

On their sheet, prompt students to label the item and the 2D shape that is.

Extension: Encourage students to write a story about some of the items that they found around the classroom.
