Anna Campbell is a Master’s student in the School and Clinical Child Psychology program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. Her research examines how different types of play-based pedagogies support the development of executive function and self-regulation in kindergarten classrooms. She is particularly interested in the intersections of play, inclusion, and neurodevelopment, as well as how teacher facilitation strategies promote equitable participation and learning for children with diverse needs. Anna’s thesis employs mixed-methods analyses of classroom video and teacher interviews to investigate how inclusive play practices promote children’s executive functioning and self-regulation. Her MA research is supported by the Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS-M) from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).
